Alien Man

Who was he? How did they know each other? What were we doing there? How long were we going to sit more? Ok I could be a bit (!) late, having a hangover, but what if I was so? Did it mean that we had to spent all day there? While my mind was full of with these questions, she was sitting happily, enjoying her meal with him. I was staring at her eyes as if I could convince to leave as soon as possible. I didn't want to waste my holiday sitting in this boring carpet shop with this boring man, either. Of course instead of sea, sun, fun triangle. Finally she said "Yes guys, ready to go?" But what the hell was it meaning? Was he also coming with us? No way! Shit!! Yes, he was. How could I find a way to say 'good bye'? Did it always have to happen to me? Ok, she could be crazy fun woman, I could spend great time with her, but was it really good idea to meet her again? Weren't I, who even didn't tell anybody that she was gonna have holiday? Weren't I, who wanted to be alone at least for a week? What did it mean, then? To meet a woman and being depended on this woman. I could be able to say 'Yes amiga, it was really nice to meet you, but I don't want to spoil my day with this stranger'. But I couldn't. One usual weakness of mine, never say 'No'.

As a result 'Welcome on board', we were on boat! Whose decision was it? Why didn't I know that we're gonna have a boat trip? Why didn't they even need to ask me? I should end up all these silly and useless questions again. I had to calm down. I was on the boat and it was quite late anyway. So I did it! Tried to enjoy, 'Carpe Diem'. At least I could feel sun and see sea instead of Hand-Made Turkish Carpets around. I was pretty happy laying down alone and they should be happy as well, swimming in beautiful turquise waters of this lovely Mediterranean sea. All in a sudden they started to shout at me and I was like 'Thanks guys! But I'm happy here, keep enjoying without me!' "Come on! We want to talk about something, something about Latin America!!"

"What?", "What did you say?" "Latin America?". I was on the water in a second solicitously. He, the strange guy, seemed as an 'Alien' to me, asked me if I was still planning to go to Latin America and I said "Of course! Why?" He said "Come with me", "Ok! When are we going?", "Soon! You have to get ready immediately!". What the world he was talking about? Was it just a silly joke, if not, so what? Later I've found out that he was looking for an assistant for his usual six months abroad trip. First he offered this job to my lovely (!) Australian friend but as she was planning to live in Turkey for a while, she's told him to talk to me. Actually the trip, itself wasn't including any Latin countries but England, USA and Australia! Pitty me :) But the point was, if I worked for him, I could be able to make enough money and experiences for my own trip. Of course i haven't jumped! But it was more than enough to leave me sleepless for many long nights...

What should I do?

When dreams come true...

It's almost countdown. I know, this time I really feel it. Well I'm not sure how I was feeling last year but it should be exactly different than now. It has been totally one year, one enormous long year after i decided to take this offer, to be able to start my own journey. Journey to dreams, to me deep inside...

When I first met her, I was absolutely unaware of what was waiting for me ahead. After long, tiring and tensed working hours, weekly magazine offered us, it was just a relaxing holiday as much as it was. What was the secret behind that made us come across? Such a perfect timing, Ogh my gosh :) I still don't want to call it coincidence, destiny or fate. It could be only kind of miracle or such a gift that universe kindly gave me, maybe just want to believe thus.

She was an Australian woman in her 40's and real backpacker who still had 70's soul inside. After I helped her for the boat trip to the small bay which I was also planning to have, spontaneously funny conversation started. As it got deeper, we've realized that we had so much to share. She was an anthropologist and I was sort of astronomer (as I've studied astronomy and space science) which was even enough for both of us to talk about. Therefore we've spent all day together having fun and chatting a lot. She's been travelling since 16, so I had lots of things to learn about. I told her that I had been planning to travel around the Latin America for long years and how it'd become a strong passion for me.

And the next day... she was waiting for me. That's how my story began :)
